St. Christopher's Episcopal

"The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective."
James 5:16

Following Jesus' example, we pray in all things.  This conversation with God is the foundation of decisions regarding our parish life.  It is an integral part of all of our worship.  Prayer is not just petition (asking for things) but also praise, adoration, thanksgiving, and intercession.  We utilize the beautiful resources of the Book of Common Prayer for worship but also value spontaneous and extemporaneous prayer which are major parts of our small group gatherings and many of our Sunday School classes.  We are a praying church!

 Prayer List

Add someone to the weekly prayer list by calling the church at 585-2858 or e-mailing stchris@stchrisonline.org. Members names are automatically published in the newsletter and included in the Prayers of the People on Sunday mornings unless otherwise requested. Special prayers may be requested for the Prayers of the People on Sunday for family and friends of members, but are not published.

 Daughters of the King

The Order of the Daughters of the King® (DOK) is a spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to a life of Prayer, Service and Evangelism. Members have made a commitment to Jesus as our Savior, and we follow Him as Lord of our lives. By reaffirmation of the promises made at confirmation, a Daughter pledges herself to a life-long program of prayer and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ's Kingdom and the study of the spiritual life of her parish. All prayer requests are confidential, faithfully prayed on daily and are updated monthly.

Organized in 2012, the St. Christopher’s St. Clair of Assisi Chapter meets for study and fellowship on the third Sunday of each month in the Butterfly Room (the room across from Fergie’s office) at 8:30. Breakfast is served. You are welcome to join us. For more information please contact Martha N. Harris at 529.0125 or mharri16@gmail.com.

For His Sake,

I am but one, but I am one.

I cannot do everything but I can do something.

What I can do, I ought to do.

What I ought to do, by the Grace of God, I will do.

Lord, what will you have me do?
