The Practical Description of Mission & Outreach
Our job is to help St. Christopher’s and its members to answer their call to ministry in the World. Historically, this committee’s main task was to make recommendations to the Vestry on how to spend the “missions” line item of the annual budget. In our current mission status, the job is to:
¨ make you aware of community needs, and
¨ ask you to apply your
- Time & Talent – as a volunteer, participant & helper, and
- Treasure – as a financial supporter

Major Projects Planned
· On-going Food Drives on the 3rd Sunday of each month for TOTAL Ministries
· Coordinate 3 events with other local Episcopal Churches
· Help lead convocational efforts for tornado relief in Ft. Payne Alabama
o Fall – Distribute Back-To-School Supplies for Houston Elementary School
o Winter – Conduct Blanket & Coat Drive for local charities
o Spring – Conduct Restocking of Food Pantries for local charities
o Cooperate and assist other mission oriented programs such as Youth Trips, Home Works, Mobile Meals, St. Luke’s Medical Clinic, Stop Hunger Now and York Place.
